Not quite nothing.

[ She's not about to completely dismiss Natsuru's concern. What she felt was for a good reason. Kyoko simply didn't want her to be too bothered by it. ]

That I can handle it, as if anyone would actually pursue me, is simply meant to ease that worry.

[Such a self-sufficient daughter! Well, Natsuru doesn't like to meddle too much, so that's fine.]

But if you ever did need it, um... I don't want you to feel like you can't ask for help?

[She doesn't even know what she could do. She's just throwing it out there. Kyoko's been really polite and helpful and sweet ever since arriving, but Natsuru still feels a little distance there. Maybe it's just her imagination... this situation isn't really all that different than with Chieri, after all.]

[ Really, Natsuru could probably help with more than either of them realized. Sometimes, people just go a little too far when they don't want to, for lack of a better word, inconvenience those around them. Even if it's clearly stated that they wouldn't be. Essentially, Natsuru was assigned a very problematic 'child', in the most unusual of ways.

It was actually comforting to know that there was someone like that in Kyoko's life. That just had enforced her not wanting to intrude, because the feeling seemed like enough. ]

I understand, Natsuru-san. I appreciate that, really. If things work out, however, that will hopefully not be needed.

[The older girl smiles, a soft and gentle smile. She clearly cares a lot about Kyoko, despite only being together in this situation by random chance. As she's said, she knew someone that supported her when she was new in this place, and it's made her want to emulate that person and be here for others. So as long as Kyoko knows she's here for her... well, that's all she wanted to make sure of.]

Okay...

[As she moves to stand up, her hand brushes Kyoko's briefly, giving a soft squeeze. Accidental or attempt at a reassuring gesture? Either way, she seems a little embarrassed about it.]

Um... I'll leave you alone now, then! I'll be out in the living room if you need anything.

[If they really understand each other as much as it seems, Kyoko should know she's being absolutely sincere about that.]
